平子雄一 / Yuichi HIRAKO
On the Concept: So far, I have been engaged in the works whose themes were on my questions about our coexistence with plants and Nature and about the relationships that had emerged there. We are coexisting with a great many plants in our lives. One can cite many examples, such as house plants, the trees along the streets and the vegetation in the parks, etc. By living with them, we have been healed emotionally and reinvigorated physically by them.
Well then, why do plants and Nature move our hearts? Why do we need them? We are interested in how human beings and society come into contact with plants and Nature, what they seek from them, what they acquire from them and what actions they will take in the future.
